Greenwit started out 20 years ago as a distributor of electric scooters and became the Canadian leader with its Motorino brand. For the last few years, due to the improved speed, maximized torque and increased energy density of the Lithium battery, the demand for electric motorcycles exponentially increased. All this encouraged almost all ICE motorcycle manufacturers to start production of electric ones. With all the experience with the two-wheel electric cycles, it was a natural transition for Greenwit to dedicate its business to high quality and a diverse range of the best of breed options for electric motorcycles. Today, Greenwit has quickly become the leader, gaining exclusivity with leading European and Asian manufacturers to bring these high-quality brands to the North American market.
The exponential growth of climate deterioration and growing concern for alternatives is now fueling the demand for electric options across all demographics – from the traditional gas rider, the car and/or bus commuter to the recreational rider. This encouraged the governments to adopt incentive programs to foster faster consumer adoption of clean alternatives to reduce urban congestion and reduce carbon footprint. The Canadian government is now offering rebates for the purchase of electric motorcycles and has adopted a policy to terminate the sales of ICE motorcycles by 2030. All these factors are driving a greater demand for consumers to switch to LEV for their daily commute.
In addition, Greenwit Technologies is working closely with Transport Canada to homologate more street legal electric motorcycles and has the ambition to create a business that distributes the best world brands.
